MY PERSONAL JOURNEY

Welcome to IN·SIGHTS
I’m Sarah Kempff, and I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. This space is for you—a place to explore, grow, and reconnect with the truest version of yourself.

My journey into mindfulness, self-discovery, and transformation has been shaped by life’s challenges and deep moments of insight. From my earliest memories, growing up in a family exploring spiritual teachings like Kundalini Yoga in Hamburg and the Osho community in the 80s, I often felt like an outsider. But those early seeds planted a quiet wisdom that would later shape my path.

As a single parent in London, I faced the intensity of balancing motherhood, work, and life’s uncertainty in my twenties. During this time, I turned to Kundalini Yoga, diving into a 40-day meditation to heal anger—a practice that opened the door to profound change. Around this time, my mother shared Pema Chödrön’s When Things Fall Apart, a gift that sparked a deep resonance and helped me see life’s challenges as opportunities for transformation.

The turning point came in 2017 when I attended a 7-day silent Naikan retreat, an experience that grounded me in reflection and shifted my perspective on life’s struggles. This was followed by a Metta-Meditation retreat in Switzerland and further studies in Japanese Psychology, including Naikan, Morita Therapy, and Kaizen. These practices helped me understand how to align inner work with practical steps forward.

Over the years, my practice deepened through Vipassana silent retreats, intensive Lamrim Buddhist studies, and training in Naikan facilitation. In 2023, I completed a 200-hour Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training and embarked on a two-year mindfulness teacher training with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. Each experience brought together a toolkit of practices to help navigate life’s challenges with strength, clarity, and balance.

By 2024, I had refined my approach through advanced practices like Sat Nam Rasayan, White Tantra, and the Buddhist Foundation Study Programme. Every retreat, every teaching, and every practice shaped my commitment to offering something meaningful through IN·SIGHTS—a blend of Buddhism, Mindfulness, Kundalini Yoga, and Naikan, all grounded in the wisdom of experience and real-life challenges.

I know what it’s like to face difficult emotions, navigate complex relationships, and feel uncertain about the way forward. But I also see the strength that comes from stepping into those moments with curiosity and compassion. Teachers like Dagpo Lama Rinpoche, Pema Chödrön, and Carolyn Myss, along with the teachings of Buddhism, have been anchors on my journey.

IN·SIGHTS is a space born from this path—a place for reflection, discovery, and growth. Together, we explore how to turn challenges into opportunities, reconnect with what truly matters, and find clarity in life’s uncertainty.

I invite you to join me on this journey if you're ready to begin. Let’s explore what’s possible, step into your transformation, and uncover the strength and wisdom already within you. Welcome to IN·SIGHTS.
